The Met office has issued a weather warning for this Sunday for snow and icy conditions.

According to a statement by the organisation Powys will have a period of snow that "will lead to some disruption to travel and other activities, before turning to rain later."

The Met office have warned that there could be "possible travel delays on roads" which could lead to "stranding some vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel."

They are expecting that "some rural communities could become cut off" and that "power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage."

They are also advising people ot be careful when walking as there could be a "chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces."

The poor conditions are expected to last from the early hours of Sunday morning until around 9pm Sunday evening.
