JACK Biggs struck twice as Hat St Marys claimed the derby day honours with a 5-0 win at Talgarth Town.

Further goals from Tom Landon, Matty Tong and Callum Maddy ensured the Saints completed an emphatic derby win to keep alive their ambitions for promotion.

Llansantffraid Village completed an equally comfortable win at Montgomery Town who were brought back to earth following their recent upturn in form.

Goals from Tom Gale, Wayne Austin, Matthew Davies, Nathan Prodger and Rob Carruthers completed the Saints scoring and maintained their push for promotion to the first division.

Honours ended even between Aberystwyth University and Dyffryn Banw with the Llangadan visitors departing with a point following a 2-2 draw.

Goals from Tom Spicer and Dan Price were not enough for the student hosts as Banw ensured a point with strikes from James Vaughan and Alwyn Jones.

Dolgellau Athletic and Newbridge also scrapped out a point at Cae Marian.

Ollie Woods gave the Bridgemen an early lead having previously been denied by a penalty save from home goalkeeper Darren Andrews.

Andrews continued to keep Dolgellau in the game until a break at the other end saw David Edwards floored in the area with the resulting penalty spurned.

Despite the set-back the home side grew into the game after the break and levelled when Dominic Thomas ventured forward from the halfway line to lash home from the edge of the area.

Both sides created late chances to snatch all three points before the battle ended with honours shared.

Meanwhile Penybont United’s home clash with Presteigne was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Racecourse Ground.
