PAUL Grant has returned to Caersws as the Bluebirds begin their Huws Gray Alliance fixture backlog at Flint Town United on Saturday (2.30).

The Bluebirds face a gruelling end of season with 15 league games in the next 10 weeks having played just twice in the previous three months due to inclement weather.

Manager Graham Evans has strengthened in all areas with defender Grant joining from Spar Mid Wales League One side Tywyn Bryncrug, while striker Richard Davies has joined from Berriew.

Meanwhile former Aberystwyth Town midfielder Tom Bowen has also arrived at the Recreation Ground.

Evans said: “Flint is always a very difficult place to go. They’ve started to turn things around under new management and their change in form is all down to their organisation and willingness to work on and off the ball.

“They’ll be buoyed by their win at Airbus last weekend and we will need to match their work ethic first and foremost.

“It’s not ideal preparation having only played two league games in 12 weeks but others are in a similar position and we can’t use that as an excuse. The lads have trained well despite weekly cancellations and we will be ready to fight for the points we need to get out of trouble.”

While the club’s new signings will all hope to make their debuts the Bluebirds travel without midfielders Rhydian Davies and Luke Roughley.
