TWO football clubs with traditional links to southern Powys have joined the Montgomeryshire League.

Shropshire-based Newcastle make the switch alongside Felindre with both clubs accepted into the Montgomeryshire League.

Both clubs are known locally as the Millers.

Both joined last season with the Mid Wales League South no longer viable and join Forden United Reserves in bolstering the fifth tier league.

Campaigners aiming to revive the Mid Wales League South will meet again in early July when a final decision will be made on whether the league will be viable for next season.
