That goal marked the end to the competitive season for Draper’s team, as TNS lifted the Genero Adran Premier Plate.

Manager Greg Draper said: “It was a pleasing way to end the season, it was our third win on the bounce and our fourth clean sheet.

“We could have won the game a lot more comfortably but struggled in the conditions. In saying that we are also grateful for a few saves from Ella when the game was still in the balance.”

Draper conceded the team had failed to meet its pre-season objective having missed out on a top four finish.

“At the start of the campaign the aim was to end closer to the top than bottom and of course we missed out on the top four,” said Draper. “We have ended top of the bottom but the girls all know we have not achieved what we set out at the start of the season.

“The hard work to get into the top four next season will begin now.”
