KERRY stole a march in the MMP Central Wales League North title race with a 2-1 win at Barmouth United on Saturday.

All eyes turned to the top of the table clash at Wern Mynach as the Lambs raced ahead with goals from Luke Mumford and Ethan Holloway before Paul Lewis reduced the arrears for the hosts before the break.

Kerry dug deep in the second-half to ensure their lead was preserved and return to the top of the table.

Llansantffraid's title bid received a damaging blow as the Saints crashed to an emphatic 7-0 defeat at Tywyn Bryncrug.

Abermule ran riot in an 11-1 thrashing of Llanfyllin Town with Mike Humphreys and Tom Jones sharing the limelight with trebles.

Greg Pryce, George Davies, Aron James, Ryan Evans and Oliver Jones completed an emphatic victory for Mule with the visitors reducing the arrears with a consolation goal from William Davies.

Charlie Kinsey was the derby day hero as Montgomery Town snatched a last gasp winner in a 3-2 victory at Forden United.

Goals from Jake O'Donnell and Harry O'Donnell gave the home side the lead before Ryan Jehu reduced the arrears on the hour.

Ben Davies' own goal saw parity restored before Kinsey completed Montgomery's comeback with a late winner.

Bishop's Castle held out for a 2-1 win at Four Crosses with goals from Martyn Ziemann and Toby Mills just enough after Chris Dyke reduced the arrears late on for the hosts.

Trewern United edged a 3-2 thriller at bottom of the table Berriew on Friday night.

Phil Turnbull fired the Rhiewsiders into an opening minute lead before the Tigers hit back to lead with goals from Chris Lewis and Luke Francis.

Kieran Dovey inspired Knighton Town to a comfortable 8-2 win at home to Aberaeron in the only match of the weekend to survive the weather in the southern league.

Dovey completed a hat-trick with Callum Stokes netting twice and further goals from Jack Hoyle, Dan Farmer and Jack Davies cancelling replies from Dafydd Roberts and Caio Carruthers.
