RICHIE Evans has stepped down as manager of MMP Central Wales League South side Machynlleth.

The former Caersws and Llanidloes Town winger confirmed his decision on Saturday.

A club statement read: “The club want to thank Rich for the past two seasons and all the efforts he put in last season in tier three and then this season in tier four as the club look to rebuild with a young squad.”

A caretaker will be appointed in the interim with a new manager to be named in the summer.
