PENYBONT United have toasted their first win of the MMP Central Wales League South season.
The village club prevailed 4-1 winners over Talgarth Town on Saturday with goals from Pal McCambridge, Alfie Stonefield, Jack Duggan and Cian Bufton sealing the spoils.
Even the dismissal of Reiss Kinch failed to dampen the Polecats’ celebrations.
The club rebuilt earlier in the season, their debut campaign in the newly created regional tier, having conceded 116 goals in 17 games.

Manager Lance Holder said: “Myself and the players are so delighted to pick up our first win this season.
“It’s been a tough road but we persevered and never gave up and I think that really shows the strength of character these players have.
“I can only add how extremely proud of them I am. I’m so thankful that I took up position of manager and I hope this team goes from strength to strength.”
