BUILTH Wells proved a class apart in a 15-goal drubbing of Llanfyllin Town in the MMP-NL Mid Wales League East.

The Bulls finally got on the charge following a solid if stuttering start to the new season, with former Newbridge forward Ollie Woods bagging his first goals for his new side. Woods scored four and shared the limelight with striker Greg Preece who also found the net four times, while Chris Roff marked his return from injury and his birthday with a brace.

Further goals from Lee James, Ciaran Price, Aeron Powell, Adam Farmer and Christian Jones ensured a long journey home for Llanfyllin.

Elsewhere, Dale Evans' hat-trick inspired Brecon Corries to a 4-1 win at home to Waterloo Rovers.

Brother Craig Evans completed the scoring while Tom Ellis reduced the arrears for the Welshpool side from the penalty spot.

Meanwhile, Bishop's Castle Town edged a 2-1 win at home to Llansantffraid Village.

George Mellor's 25th minute strike separated the sides for much of the game before Sam Jones doubled the lead with a minute remaining.

Nathan Prodger hit back for the Saints in injury time but Castle held firm for the points.

Elsewhere, honours ended even as Dewi Williams' equaliser salvaged a point for Abermule in a 1-1 draw at home to Hay St Marys who led through Matty Tong.

Meanwhile, Aberaeron prevailed 3-2 winners at home to Dyffryn Banw in the only game in the MMP-NL Mid Wales League West.

A Ryan Davies double and Llewellyn Lloyd strike gave the Seasiders a comfortable lead before a spirited comeback from the Llangadfan side after the break with goals from Efan Davies and Gerallt Davies.
