LLANIDLOES Town’s long awaited JD Cymru North return ended with a share of the spoils at Holywell Town.
However the Daffodils had to do things the hard way after the home side raced into a two goal lead inside the opening 20 minutes.
Jake Cooke opened the scoring after eight minutes before Danny Sullivan doubled the tally 10 minutes later.
Holywell dominated as both Danny Andrews and Luke Edwards were denied by the woodwork as Llanidloes survived a spell of home pressure an d were rewarded at the end of the half.
Elliott Jones reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time with a headed effort following a corner to get Llanidloes back in the game.
Llanidloes continued to toil and with 12 minutes remaining were rearded once more when George Clarke found substitute Connor Bird to level as the Daffodils celebrated an opening day point on the road.
