MALDWYN Harriers Athletics Club will be represented across the board in the Welsh squad at the forthcoming Home Countries Youth International Mountain Running Championships.
The event takes place in Ambleside in Cumbria on July 24.
The Newtown club will be represented by Welshpool's Maddie Griffiths in the women's race with Deri McCluskey of Llanymynech lining up in the men's event.
The Newtown club is further represented by Sharon Jones on the team staff.
McCluskey goes into the event on a high with 1,500m and 3,000m victories at the Trafford Grand Prix and Welsh Invitational this month while also ending third in the Welsh Junior Mountain Running Championships.
Griffiths won the 4.8km Welsh Junior Mountain Running Championships and also competed at the Welsh Schools Championship, Telford Spring Cup and Welsh Invitational.
