FOOTBALL clubs from across the region continued to step up their preparations for the new season with friendly matches contested during the past week.
Llanidloes Town beat neighbours Machynlleth 2-1 at Victoria Avenue on Monday night.
On Saturday a Taylor Wozencraft hat-trick helped Knighton Town claim a 3-3 draw at home to Ardal North East League visitors Carno.
Caersws overcame Forden United 4-0 at the Recreation Ground with Neil Mitchell netting twice on his return to the Recreation Ground with Scott Williams and Mark Griffiths also netting.

Meanwhile goals from Aaron Lloyd, Gareth Mansell, Jolyon Harries, Iwan Matthews helped Guilsfield to a 4-2 win at Berriew who replied through Steffan Rogers and Richard Davies.
Brecon Corries played out a 3-3 draw against a visiting Tredegar Town while Bow Street and Llanuwchllyn proved inseparable in a 2-2 draw and Corris United held Bala Town Reserves to a 3-3 draw.
Goals from Adam Farmer and Rudi Griffiths helped Builth Wells celebrate a 2-1 win at Llandrindod Wells while Tregaron Turfs lost 3-1 at Dewi Stars and Penparcau eased to a 5-0 win against St Dogmaels courtesy of a Chris Wilkins hat-trick and goals from Mattie Davies and Liam Jaques.

Callum Brady and Lawrence Cross goals helped Waterloo Rovers Reserves to a 2-1 win at home to Berriew Reserves while Newtown Wanderers completed a 4-1 win at home to Llanfair United Reserves.
Last week Guilsfield Reserves beat Four Crosses 2-1while Llansantffraid lost 2-1 against Morda United and Montgomery Town overcame Caersws Reserves 4-0.
Meanwhile TNS and Newtown also finalised their preparations for next week's UEFA Conference League first qualifying round first legs.

Meanwhile TNS completed a two match friendly tour of Scotland which saw them draw 1-1 with East Fife courtesy of an Adrian Cieslewicz strike before suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Ayr United.
