BUILTH Wells athletes have marked their return to action with a host of top placings.
Builth & District Running Club member Owen Cooper competed in his first ultra run at Llanthony Priory in Gloucester.
After 50km in sweltering conditions the Builth star crossed the line in 6:17:48 to end first in his age category of M70.
Meanwhile 14 members took on the 'Not The Offa's Dyke' event over nines, starting at Lady Hawkins and through Upper and Lower Hergest.
Donna Morris won the ladies race while Jo Rees won the V45s category with the duo joined by Kate Jones in winning the ladies team title.
It marked further success for Morris who has hit the ground running since the return of racing.
Morris was one of three Builth & District Running Club members who competed in the last Hereford Couriers 5K event of the series.
Morris won the ladies race with a time of 17 minutes eight seconds to seal the series title.
Clubmates Tim Iveson and Phil Morris were also in action, ending in 15:57 and 16:33 respectively.
