PHIL Jones will embark on a 100 holes in a day golf challenge at Lakeside Golf Club on Friday, July 2.
The golfer will be raising money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Trust at the Garthmyl course halfway between Newtown and Welshpool.
The event starts at 4am with Phil and his colleagues aiming to complete the challenge by 8pm.
Phil said: "My wife has been undergoing treatment for cancer and I have lost family and friends and have a few friends who have been and are going through treatment for this horrible disease.
"The Lingen Davies Centre is absolutely marvellous, life saving in most cases so I want to give something back if possible.
"I did this in 2019 and raised £3,600 for various cancer charities."
