Montgomery 185 all out beat Forton 138 all out by 47 runs
SAM Williams starred with a century as Montgomery celebrated a 47 run win at Forton in division two of the Henshalls Shropshire League.
Williams (102) was supported by Aaron Ruff-Cock (37) and captain Andrew Barker (11) in guiding Monty to 185 to defend.
Chris Hughes (3-38), Will Roddy (3-30) and Mat MacInnes (2-44) led Forton’s attack.
Edward Bennett (5-31) showed ruthless form in reply and support from Barker (3-28) ensured regular wickets.
Roddy (41), Ian Roberts (20), Matthew Sayers (16) and Morris Belcher (18) led Forton’s reply which ended for 138 in the 35th over as Monty celebrated a welcome 47 run victory.
