LLANIDLOES Town have stepped up preparations for the new season with the signing of defender Dan Lewis.
Lewis returns to his hometown club from Ardal North East League club Carno and joined Berriew striker Andy Evans in being recruited by manager Chris Davies.
Davies said: “I am happy to be able to add him to our squad. He is a local lad and a player I know vert well having played under me for seven years.
“He is reliable and always gives 100 per cent and brings experience to an already strong squad.”
Dan Lewis has rejoined Llanidloes Town.
Meanwhile the transfer market is in full swing across mid Wales following a 15 month hiatus.
Berriew have swooped to bring midfielder Will Morgan to the Talbot Field with the Ardal North East club bringing the teenager from Newtown where he progressed through the JD Cymru Premier club’s academy.
Meanwhile several players have departed the Rhiewsiders for pastures new.
Iwan Walsh has joined local rivals Welshpool Town while youngster Sean Wild has signed for Ardal North East League club Carno.
Also departing is Jake O’Donnell who has rejoined home village club Forden United in MMP-NL Mid Wales League East.

Elsewhere Machynlleth have also added to their squad ahead of the Ardal North East League season.
The club have signed goalkeeper Huw Taylor and midfielder Mike Straw.
The 19-year old goalkeeper has past experience playing for Talybont and Bow Street while Straw joins from MMP-NL Mid Wales League West side Borth United.
Mid Wales clubs have also been busy embarking on pre-season programmes with the season set to commence next month after more than a year on the sidelines due to the public health crisis.
A test match between Newtown and Llanidloes Town on Saturday will contribute to the Welsh Government decision on easing restrictions and permitting fans back to fixtures this season.
In the meantime clubs must continue to play behind closed doors.
Brecon and Builth Wells played out a 2-2 draw while Llanfair United claimd a 4-0 win over Forden United.
Forden United also beat Kerry 2-0 over the weekend.
Tregaron Turfs also maintained their bright pre-season ahead of the MMP-NL Mid Wales League West campaign with a 6-1 win over Bont.
