KNIGHTON Town Football Club have swooped to sign teenage goalkeeper Regan Tonkinson.
The 18-year-old stopper arrives at Bryn-Y-Castell from Salop Premier League side Ludlow.
Manager Mark Jones said: "Regan is an extremely talented young goalkeeper, who has had many standout performances over the last season in England, and we are delighted he has chosen to sign for the club.
"We now have two good young keepers in Regan and Ben Davies, who will compete for the number one jersey, while pushing each other to improve their game and them them to the next level.
Tonkinson was also delighted to be plying his trade with the MMP-NL Mid Wales League East club next season.
He said: "I am glad to sign for the club and looking forward to a new challenge in a different standard of football. I want to help push the club up the table in the near future."
