TNS 5 Cefn Druids 0

TNS stormed back to winning ways with an emphatic derby victory over Cefn Druids at Park Hall tonight.

Both sides went into the game having parted company with their managers in the past 10 days and losing on the weekend.

However TNS needed just five minutes to break the deadlock with Dean Ebbe converting Simon Spender's low right wing cross from close range.

Ebbe forced Druids goalkeeper Mike Jones into action seven minutes later before Ryan Astled headed over as TNS maintained their positive start.

Ben Clark went post after 20 minutes before the pressure told as TNS put the game to bed to with two goals in six minutes.

Druids goalkeeper Mike Jones spilled Adrian Cieslewicz's shot into the path of Jon Routledge to hammer home after 25 minutes.

The rampant Saints added a fourth after half an hour with Clark releasing Ebbe to lob Jones.

A rare chance for the visitors saw Niall Flint test TNS goalkeeper Paul Harrison on 38 minutes but the Saints could have added to their lead before the break with Astles heading over the bar.

TNS did not have to wait long and added a fourth four minutes into the second-half with Cieslewicz slotting home from the penalty spot following a handball.

TNS were awarded a second penalty on the hour only for Ebbe to be denied his hat-trick by Jones.

Adam Roscrow tested Jones soon after his introduction and the ex-Wimbledon player was on target on 72 minutes to complete the scoring.

Interim manager Chris Seargeant rang the changes late on as the Saints saw out the game with comfort to reduce Connah's Quay Nomads' lead at the top of the table to three points.
