LOCKDOWN restrictions continue to prevent sport being played but it seems the Irish Sea has become a sporting arena.
A fortnight after a football belonging to a little girl from Waterford washed up on the mid Wales coast, another ball has been found having washed up on the beaches of Borth after a journey of more than 150 miles.
The ball was traced back to Dublin based Gaelic football club St Sylvesters and found by Mikey Bailey while walking on Borth beach last weekend.
Mikey Bailey took to social media following the discovery of the distinctive ball and hoped to return it when lockdown restrictions are finally over and people are once again permitted to travel across the Irish Sea.
He said: “When we can come back over, we’ll call in for a pint and hopefully catch a game too.”
