PENRHYNCOCH'S Nathaniel MG Cup match at Goytre United has been postponed.
The JD Cymru North club announced the decision last night.
A spokesman said: "The club can confirm that this weekend's Nathaniel MG Cup match against Goytre United has been postponed.
"Due to concerns as regards the Covid-19 Pandemic our players, coaches and staff's health, safety and wellbeing must come first so after due consideration it has been decided that we will not be fulfilling the fixture on Saturday.
"As a club we are fully aware of the possible consequences that this may mean as regards our participation in the competition but we have a duty of care to our players, coaches and staff as well as our wider community of Penrhyncoch itself.
"We have been in contact with Goytre United FC and very much appreciate their understanding. The Football Association of Wales have also been informed of the club's decision."
