FOUR Crosses Football Club has confirmed no friendlies will be arranged until the end of the English lockdown.

The village club is located just a few miles from the Welsh border.

The latest English lockdown has meant a majority of their playing personnel and coaching staff have been unable to travel into Wales and the club has taken the decision to not arrange friendlies until all are available to travel.

A club spokesman said: “Around 80 per cent of our players live in Oswestry so obviously can’t player or train.

“We worked extremely hard for months but now we are stuck.

“Hopefully things will get sorted one way or another.

“We will just have to sit tight until December.”

The Foxon Manor club is due to compete in the Ardal North East League this season but the new third tier remains on indefinite hiatus due to the Welsh Government’s rule of 30 regulations.
