Welshpool Town Football Club’s junior section has been accredited to platinum level through the Football Association of Wales (FAW) club accreditation programme.

This is the highest level within this programme and means that the club meets all criteria for accreditation in terms of management, workforce, provision, policies and procedures.

To get to this stage has taken a concerted effort and hours or organization by officials and coaches within the club and the club is grateful to all who made this achievement possible.

Coaching coordinator Gareth Watkins said: “The award is testament to the hard work applied both on and off the field.

“We have some exciting youngsters coming through the club and I must pass credit on to the coaches and parents for giving the players the opportunity to express themselves in a safe, fun and organised environment.

“We have brought in a new club philosophy and we are looking forward to seeing players progress through the club and hopefully beyond.”

All junior training sessions are held at Welshpool Town Football Club by qualified staff under the guidance of coaching coordinator Gareth Watkins.

Watkins added: “The club is always looking to grow and develop our players, coaches and backroom staff. Join us today.”
