TNS 2 Haverfordwest County 2

BLAINE Hudson's injury time winner won the day for TNS who came from behind twice to break the hearts of Haverfordwest County.

The visiting Bluebirds played their part in a thrilling encounter and a wonderful advert for the JD Cymru Premier which has now entered a virtual lockdown.

Only TNS, Haverfordwest and Bala Town will be contesting fixtures for the duration of the Welsh Government's 17 day lockdown with the remaining league programme postponed.

In the only league match of the day Adrian Cieslewicz fired wide and Ben Clark tested County goalkeeper Matthew Turner in the opening stages.

However it was the visitors who broke the deadlock on 11 minutes with Corey Shepherd surging from midfield to release Jack Wilson to slide past an advancing Paul Harrison.

Cieslewicz and Leo Smith fired over as TNS sought a response and their patience was rewarded with 30 minutes gone as Clark headed home Louis Robles' right wing cross on the far post.

The goal sparked Haverfordwest into life with Lewis firing wide before Danny Williams tested Harrison.

The Bluebirds started the second-half on top with Shepherd forcing Harrison into action inside the opening few minutes.

County regained their lead on 52 minutes with Williams slotting home from the penalty spot after Lewis was upended in the box.

Just like the first-half, the Saints immediately regained their momentum with Cieslewicz firing wide before Clark saw his effort cleared off the line by Dan Summerfield.

The Saints were back on terms shortly after the hour with Chris Marriott's free-kick from the right wing deflecting off Sean Pemberton under pressure from Blaine Hudson.

The match continued to entertain with Ricky Wilson threatening to restore County's lead from distance with 20 minutes remaining, only for Harrison to produce another fine save to maintain parity at Park Hall.

The home side ended strongly with goalkeeper Turner forced into action from distance to deny Ryan Astles before smothering a shot from Dean Ebbe while Hudson headed wide.

And the pressure told in injury time when Marriott's left wing cross from the edge of the area was spilled by Turner for Hudson to gleefully seize upon from close range.
