Llanidloes 162-6 beat Guilsfield 112 all out by 50 runs

LLANIDLOES marched to an emphatic 50 run defeat at home to Guilsfield but fell short in their bid to lift the championship.

The home side lost two cheap wickets with Andrew Jones (6) and Dan Lewis (10) both caught by Finlay Hunter off Allan Williams (1-10) and Daniel Brown.

Surviving opener Will Denham was joined by Harry Turner for the third wicket before the latter bowled by Dave Williams (1-38) for 17.

Denham and Adrian Foulkes kept the scoreboard ticking before Denham was caught by Andy Pugh off Brown (2-22) for a top scoring 63.

Foulkes was sent back to the pavilion after being run out by Allan Williams for 40 to leave Llanidloes defending 162-6.

Ryan Jones (2-15) struck early in reply with Pugh bowled for nine.

Dave Williams and Jordan Evans established a second wicket stand before the latter was caught by Jones off Turner for 19.

Wickets continued to tumble around Williams as Foulkes (4-20) was joined by Eogan Jones (1-9) and Ioan Swallow (1-30) in sweeping through the Guils order.

Williams was finally caught by Denham off Turner (2-34) for a top scoring 58 to complete Guilsfield's demise for 112.
