BERRIEW Football Club has maintained its standing as one of the leading junior clubs in Wales with the awarding of the Football Association of Wales (FAW) platinum award.
The standard is awarded to only a handful of clubs each season and recognises commitment to junior development and coaching standards.
Club spokesman Paul Inns said: “I’m delighted that for the third year running we have achieved the highest possible level of accreditation.
“This is a reflection on the hard work of the coaches and committee, and is a tremendous achievement for a village club, which, with over 200 players, is one of the largest junior clubs in central Wales.”
