DYFFRYN Banw have bolstered ahead of the new MMP-NL Mid Wales League West season.

The Llangadfan based club has had a busy summer with pitch improvements taking place at their Cae Morfa ground.

Now manager Awi Williams has added strength to his squad.

Joe Evans heads the cast of new arrivals with the attacking midfielder arriving from MMP-NL Mid Wales League East side Llanfyllin Town.

Also arriving at Cae Morfa is forward Ryan Evans with the forward joining the club from Ardal North East League side Montgomery Town.

Williams has also bolstered his midfield with the signing of Iestyn Price and defender Harri Davies with the youngsters joining from Ardal North East League side Welshpool Town.

Another new face at Banw is Ricky Reed with the defender joining from Ardal North East League side Llanfair United.

Banw’s array of new signings is completed by Rhodri Evans who has spent the past few seasons playing rugby with Meifod based COBRA but has now signed for the Cae Morfa club to provide cover.

Departing the club for pastures new are Ryan Jones who has joined Llanfyllin Town and Owain James who has been snapped up by Llanfair United.

Williams said: “Apart from Joe all the other lads are a stone’s throw away from Cae Morfa and all have a chance to compete for places in an exciting squad made up of experienced players which is much-needed at this level and also the crop of young players who have experienced their first season in senior football last season.

“Again we are looking to give younger lads a try at senior level.”

Banw will be competing in the western regional league of the MMP-NL Mid Wales League next season.

Meanwhile football leagues and clubs continue to await clearance from the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Welsh Government to start their pre-seasons.
