Newtown Swimming Club's Lucy Jones.
TWO of Powys’ most prominent swimmers have been selected for the Welsh national team squads.
The Swim Wales announcement was made earlier this week with Trewern’s Daniel Jones in the elite squad.
Jones is a former member of the Oswestry Swimming Club.
Meanwhile Newtown Swimming Club star Lucy Jones has been included in the female national skills academy squad and national para performance centre.
Debbie Halstead of Newtown Swimming Club said: “We are very proud of our swimmer Lucy Jones who has been selected to join the 2020/21 Swim Wales national para performance centre and the national skills academy.”
