Welshpool 39-2 beat Bishop's Castle 38 all out by eight wickets
WELSHPOOL proved a different class to a skittled Bishop's Castle in an eight wicket win at Maesydre.
Rob Anderson (3-4) was joined by Matt McWhinnie (2-10), Patrick Davies (2-4) and Harry Bowen (2-6) in destroying the Castle order with Tom Bowen (1-10) completing their demise for a paltry 38.
Tom Moulder (10) and Satch Norton (8) led Castle's challenge which ended in the 34th over.
Paul Cottrell (2-13) delayed the inevitable in reply with Nick Davies (17) and Dan Pritchard (17) departing before Dan Chodecki (0no) and Callum Preston (1no) steered their side to 39-2 and an emphatic margin of victory in the eighth over of their reply.
