Newtown 155-6 beat Knockin 69 all out by 86 runs

ANOTHER week and another commanding win for Newtown ensured their march toward the John Rees group title continued.

A solid top order display from Sam Morris (23), John Anthony (14) and Ricky Davies (33) helped Town to lay foundations before Twm Foulkes (10) steadied the middle order.

Joe Monk (15no) and David Anthony (14no) combined for the seventh wicket to steer the hosts to 155-6 to defend.

Eric Heath (3-14) led the Knockin attack with support from Joe Kynaston (1-28) and Jack Thorpe (1-19).

Knockin were skittled for 69 inside 25 overs in reply with David Anthony (6-32) leading Town to an emphatic margin of victory.

Elsewhere in the John Rees group Bomere Heath conceded their match at home to Alberbury with the visitors awarded the points.

Support from Rowan Swanson (2-18) and Sion Jerman (2-3) completed Knockin's demise with only George Lawrence (17) and Jamie Birch (11) posting double figures.
