THE northernmost point of the Ardal Leagues SW, Grenig Park is another ground that has undergone significant renovations over the last 12 months as the club has geared up to comply with FAW licensing.
Cwmamman begin the 2020/21 campaign in the third tier following relegation from Cymru South, having battled to survive with a young team largely derived from the locality.
The club started life in the Neath Leagues, steadily advancing through the local divisions over a ten year period from its foundation in 1976.
Following many seasons yo-yo-ing between the top two divisions of the Neath Leagues, the club eventually made the leap into the Welsh Leagues domain for season 2002/03. There followed another steady rise to the second tier of Welsh football and a promotion to division one - latterly Cymru South - in 2017.
A tough campaign last time around, however, saw the club drop into the third tier in which it accepted the invitation to compete in Ardal SW.
Manager Ryan Stephens has remained committed to the club's philosophy of selecting local talent, interspersed with a handful of young signings from the Carmarthenshire and Swansea Leagues as Cwm look to lay down a marker and compete for a first time return to tier two.
