BERRIEW Football Club have snapped up a pair of promising youngsters ahead of the new Ardal North East League season.
The Rhiewsiders have added 16 year old goalkeeper Zac Bateson who arrives having represented Bishop's Castle and Newtown at youth level.
Berriew have also snapped up Kofi Davies from the Newtown academy set-up with the 16 year old another exciting prospect.
Manager Dave Jones said: "Both players are exciting prospects who will look to gain experience of adult football in the newly formed reserves side and push for first team games."
However the long wait for a return of football continues following the Football Association of Wales (FAW) announcement last week which will see only the JD Cymru Premier start on September 11 while the remainder of clubs in Wales continue to fear their season may not commence until October at the earliest.
