Welshpool IIs 84-2 beat Pontesbury IIs 81 all out by eight wickets
WELSHPOOL IIs toasted a comfortable eight wicket win at home to Pontesbury IIs.
Rob Anderson (3-19) and Neil Pryce (3-24) shared the limelight for Pool with Matt McWhinnie (2-3) and Harry Bowen (1-10) helping complete the visitors collapse for just 81.
Darrell Corfield (27), Gareth Pugh (16) and Emily Churms (12) led the Pontesbury attack.
Jake Edwards (2-26) included opener Mat Sherwood (19) in hos haul but Welshpool eased to a comfortable victory as Dan Chodecki (28no) and Ryan Preston (15no) formed an unbroken third wicket stand to steer their side to glory in 17 overs.
