Newtown 89-3 beat Alberbury 88 all out by seven wickets
NEWTOWN made light work of Powys rivals Alberbury in a seven wicket win at the Elephant and Castle Recreation Ground.
The visitors suffered a total collapse with the tone set early with Dominic Zaza (8) and Lara Jones (5) departing cheaply as Ally Laird (1-12) and Tom Anderson (1-20) struck,
Surviving opener Mike Crawshaw and Jordan Zaza looked to steady the ship only for the latter to be run out by John Anthony for 12.
Meanwhile Crawshaw fell to Joe Monk (1-10) for a top scoring 20.

Craig Davies starred in removing the middle order as Ed Kneale (4), Joss Elliott (5) and Sam Morris (2) departed cheaply.
The Anthony brothers struck with Ieuan Griffiths (9) falling to John Anthony (1-12) before Mark Jones was caught by Tom Anderson off David Anthony (1-11).
Davies completed his 4-7 with Owain Roberts stumped by Sam Morris for five to leave Alberbury all out for just 88.

Sam Morris (18no) carried his bat for Newtown in reply and laid foundations alongside John Anthony until the latter was caught by Lara Jones off Roberts for a top scoring 28.
Newtown suffered a top order wobble as Ricky Davies (1) was stumped by Mark Jones off Roberts (2-20) for one before Ryan Davies (1) was snared LBW by Griffiths (1-10).
However Anderson (24no) joined Morris for the fourth wicket to guide Town to 89-3 in the 21st over.
