LLANIDLOES Town Football Club received the coveted Mid Wales League championship trophy over the weekend.
The club were officially crowned champions on a points per game basis after last season was curtailed due to the pandemic and lockdown restrictions.
As such the Victoria Avenue club can look forward to JD Cymru North football again next season.
However restrictions had prevented the club receiving the silverware until last weekend when MMP-NL representative Andrew Turner visited the ground and made the presentation to club officials.
The club has won the Mid Wales League six times since the 1950s and recently topped a series of online polls as the top club of the decade.
A club spokesman said: “Everyone had a, socially distanced, day where the players and management could finally share the league trophy with family, friends and of course the fans.
“Not the usual circumstances of course, but a great celebration was had by all.”
