Llanidloes 169-3 beat Montgomery IIs 167-2 by seven wickets
LLANIDLOES opened their home programme with a seven wicket win over Montgomery IIs.
Matthew Jones (87no) carried his bat for Monty and joined by David Thomas (19) and Ryan Blayney (11) before Rob Yewdall (25no) led Monty to 167-2 to defend.
Llanidloes lost captain Andrew Jones early in reply, caught off Jack Windsor (1-21) for a duck.
However the home innings were revived by Will Denham (29) and Daniel Lewis (70) for the second wicket before both departed to Joe Haycock (2-39).
Llanidloes were guided to victory by Ethan Owen (28no) and Lewis Swallow (19no) who combined to form an unbroken fourth wicket stand to steer the home side to 169-3 in the 36th over.
