LAST season's curtailed cup competitions will not be completed.

The Central Wales Football Association (CWFA) announced its decision on Thursday having previously confirmed the Central Wales Cup and Emrys Morgan Cup would be completed.

However the CWFA has since completed a U-turn following the Football Association of Wales (FAW) decision to abandon last season's national cup competitions with prize monies shared and Barry Town United awarded the Welsh Cup winner's berth in the Europa League.

A CWFA spokesman said: "We had hoped to complete cup competitions but we would have needed FAW permission.

"Given that FAW had considered it could not complete its own cup competitions based on concerns of sporting integrity there was no realistic possibility of gaining the permission required."
