Bishop's Castle 156-4 beat Guilsfield 151-8
by six wickets
Bishop's Castle also opened their season on a high with a six wicket win at Guilsfield.
The home top order crumbled under pressure from Simon Palmer (4-29) before Dave Lewis steadied the ship.
Jack Perry (2-13) struck as Dave Lewis and Garry Lewis looked to revive the home innings with an eight wicket stand.
However Dave Lewis was caught by Richard Fifield off Rhys Evans (1-19) for 49 to leave Garry Lewis (44no) to push the villagers to 151-8 to defend.
Tom Moulder (25) and Fifield (24) laid the foundations of Castle's reply before departing, caught by Jordan Evans off Rhodri Davies and snared LBW by Sam Griffiths.
Griffiths completed his 2-41 with the wicket of Paul Cottrell for a duck.
However Guilsfield had no answer to Perry (81no) who was joined by Jake Cintra (12no) in an unbroken fifth wicket partnership to steer Castle to 156-4 and victory in the 25th over.
