PROMOTION to the new third division represents the latest step forward for Four Crosses.

The Foxen Manor club was founded in 1997 though can trace its roots back to the Llanymynech club founded in 1989.

The village has a long history of football with the successful Rodney Rovers club based in the village during the 1960s.

The club won the Montgomeryshire League Two title in 2004 and won the first division championship at the first attempt the following season.

A three year spell in the Mid Wales League followed before relegation to the Montgomeryshire League in 2008.

The club returned to the Mid Wales League in 2011 as members of the second division and promoted to the top tier the following season.

Once again the club's fortunes waned with relegation back to the second division in 2015 and a return to the Montgomeryshire League in 2017.

However Crosses' latest chapter began under the management of ex-Guilsfield manager Mike Barton with a return to the Mid Wales League in 2018 and promotion to the first division in their first season before earning a spot in the new national third division.
