CARNO Football Club hold the distinction of having the longest unbroken third division membership in Welsh football.
The Greens won the Montgomeryshire League in 1967 though did not step up to the Mid Wales League until 1982, winning the Montgomeryshire Cup the following season.
Carno reached new heights as founding members of the new Cymru Alliance in 1990 and competed in the league until relegation 1996.
Since the club have been ever present in the Mid Wales League.
The Greens fortunes have fluctuated over the years, ending bottom in 2006 before rebuilding under the management of John Davies.
In 2008 the club lifted the Montgomeryshire Cup and under the management of Chris Davies won the cup a third time in 2014.
In 2016 the club celebrated its greatest glory, lifting the Central Wales Cup for the first time.
Last season the club appointed Gary Jones as their new manager with the young up and coming coach steadying the ship following the departure of Gwynfor Edwards.
A club spokesman said: "We are pleased to have been included and very happy with the make up of the league.
"We are very happy that the majority of the teams in the area will be allowed to maintain their rivalries and continue to compete with each other and are looking forward to getting back to it as soon it’s safe to do so."
