The club were founder members of the Cymru Alliance in 1991 and the League of Wales in 1992, representing Wales in Europe in 2002.

The Bluebirds first rose to national prominence in the 1960s, winning one Welsh Amateur Cup and ending runners-up on two occasions.

During Mickey Evans' years at the helm the club dominated mid Wales football with silverware, winning a host of local cups as well as winning the League of Wales Cup in 2001, 2002 and 2007.

However the club fell from grace following Evans' retirement with relegation from the top flight in 2010 followed by relegation from the second tier in 2018.

Since Mark Griffiths has sought to bring the glory days back to the Recreation Ground and will be joined at the helm by Chris Davies next season.
