NEWTOWN Football Club's summer strengthening has gathered pace with Jake Phillips becoming their sixth signing.
The 23 year old defender arrives at Latham Park from relegated Airbus UK Broughton and becomes the third former Wingmaker to join the Robins in as many weeks following the arrival of George Hughes and Jordan Evans.
Phillips has experience at Cefn Druids and Connahs Quay Nomads as well as brief loan spell at Bangor City.
Phillips joins former Airfield team-mates Evans and Hughes at Latham Park and becomes the club's sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of forwards Jamie Breese from Caernarfon Town and James Davies from Cefn Druids.
The Mid Wales club has also signed defender James O'Neill from Northern Premier League side Chasetown.
