NEXT season represents the start of a new era for the Mid Wales League.

With the advent of the new Football Association of Wales (FAW) pyramid restructure the Mid Wales League will split into two regional divisions next season.

It marks the end of an era for football in mid Wales.

The County Times has delved back into the archive and more than 100 years of football across the region.

Over the next week the County Times will conduct online polls for readers to choose their team of each decade.

Aberystwyth Town won the title in 1930 before Llanidloes Town won back to back championships in 1931 and 1932.

Aberystwyth regained the title in 1933 with the honours won by Llanidloes Town in 1934.

The title was won by Shrewsbury Town Reserves for the next two seasons before Aberdovey won the honours in 1937 and Newtown lifted the trophy in 1938.

The decade ended with Llanidloes Town winning the title in 1939.
