WELSHPOOL Rugby Club has announced exciting plans for next season.

The North Wales League Two club will operate two senior sides next season with head coach Dave Roberts joined by first team manager Frank Johns and assistant coaches Allan Tudor and Duncan Willis with physiotherapist Mark Goodwin completing the team.

Meanwhile Daley Jones has taken the helm of the second string with Jamey Jones assisting.

Coach Roberts said: "We are also delighted to announce that Toby Hodgson will continue as head coach of our women’s team for another season.

"We look forward to seeing Toby continue to grow and develop this exciting team and for them to be playing regular fixtures again in the future."

Meanwhile the club has announced success in efforts to acquire funding from the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU).

Roberts said: "This grant will support us in the purchase of portable training lights and storage containers to be located on our second pitch.

"This will allow us far greater freedom to train during the winter months and in turn support our ambitions as a club as we continue to develop our women’s team, support the Montgomeryshire Rebels girls rugby and our ever growing junior section.

"We are grateful once again for the continued support of the WRU in upgrading and updating our facilities."
