THE Welsh football season has been suspended.
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has led to the Football Association of Wales (FAW) to suspend all football until April 4.
The decision follows similar suspensions in England and Scotland as football authorities do their part in attempting to stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The announcement comes less than 24 hours after the Central Wales Football Association (CWFA) had confirmed it would continue to schedule fixtures in the region.
However now all JD Cymru Premier, JD Cymru North and South, MMP-NL Mid Wales League, JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League, Watson Financial Mid Wales League South, Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League, Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League, North Wales Women's League and Mid Wales Under 19s League fixtures will be cancelled until April 4.
All regional association cup fixtures have also been postponed.
