LLANRHAEADR face one of their their sternest tests of the season at Flint Town United on Saturday.

The Tanat Valley side make the trip to Deeside with Gary Meredith still suspended while recent signing George Mitten has been released and rejoined former club Berriew.

Director of football Marc Griffiths said: “It doesn’t get much tougher than away at Flint and having not played match in three weeks we will have to be up to speed from the off or we will get punished.”

Flint head into the game having lost in the quarter-finals of the JD Welsh Cup at home to Prestatyn Town in midweek.

Flint manager Niall McGuinness remained upbeat in defeat.

McGuinness said: “I’m proud of the players, they’ve given everything for us.

"I felt, and I think it was clear for everyone to see, that it wasn’t going to be our night.

"I thought we dominated after changing our shape - which we didn’t work too much on - and we moved the ball really well, but we should have been 2-0 up.

"We’ve had good chances and it just didn’t drop for us when you need that little bit of luck."
