CHAZ Davies stepped up his preparations for the forthcoming World Superbike Championships with testing in Australia this week.

The Presteigne ace has targeted success with the Aruba.it Racing Ducati team in the 2020 championships which starts at Phillip Island in Australia today (Friday).

Davies used the track as part of his final preparations over two days of testing.

Davies ended 11th having spent the second day of testing focused on the set up of his Ducati Panigale V4 R having already completed 65 laps.

Davies said: “”It’s been a busy couple of days.

“If I’m honest, I think I found a good feeling, maybe not great but still positive even if we still have to perfect the set up for the race.

“It is clear that we still have a lot of work to do but there is a lot of confidence and above all a lot of desire to start the championship season in the best possible way next weekend.”
