THE Mid Wales football programme suffered another virtual wash out last weekend.
Only a handful of fixtures survived the MMP-NL Mid Wales League programme while the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League schedule was wiped out.
The Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League and Watson Financial Mid Wales League South were also badly hit as the region was once again hit by heavy rain and gale force winds.
All four of the region’s representatives in the JD Cymru North were also left kicking their heels.
Despite a month of wholesale postponements the MMP-NL Mid Wales League season will not be extended.
Secretary Phil Woosnam confirmed the schedule was well advanced and would end on time.
Woosnam said: “There is no reason for an extension at the moment as the policy I have adopted over many years now of playing more matches early in the season is once again vindicated.”
