LUCY Jones has just successfully trialled and got into the Swim Wales National Para Performance Centre NPPC.
The Montgomeryshire Sports Disability sportsperson of the year has now taken her first step in the Swim Wales national squad pathway whose aim is to develop Welsh para swimmers through coaching and education and progression to the elite development squad and British Para Swimming Academy.
Meanwhile Jones’ Newtown Swimming clubmates Laura Shinton, Lewis Bebb and Carys Morgan all represented the club at the Welsh Capital Open meet in Cardiff last month with the trio returning home with two medals and 15 PBs.
