LLANFAIR United’s bid to climb the JD Cymru North table faces a stern test at home to Colwyn Bay on Saturday.

Manager Rhys Stephens backed his players to maintain their momentum having picked up four points from their last two games.

“It is another tough test but one we’ll look forward to,” said Stephens. “Colwyn Bay are a big club who are in good form but after our last two games we’ll be looking to keep momentum.”

Penrhyncoch host Rhyl with Lance Jones injured and Matt Pemberthy and Owain James unavailable while Sion James returns.

Manager Gari Lewis said: “We are proud to be challenging a club of Rhyl’s stature and it goes to show how hard we are working to improve all the time.

“They have threats and quality and we will need to make plans to counter that.”

Llanrhaeadr bid to return to winning ways at home to lowly Buckley Town.

Tom Evans, Gary Meredith, Tom Gale and Sam Thomas remain suspended as the villagers look to regain their match sharpness.

Director of football Marc Griffiths said: “We will need to get back up to speed as soon as possible as Buckley will be a tough one.

“They are in a real battle at the wrong end of the table and fighting for every point available.”

Steve Blenkinsop and Sam Litchfield return to contention for Guilsfield at home to Gresford Athletic.

Spokesman Martin Roberts said: “It’s great to have them both back. We didn’t expect Sam to be back so soon after injury and he has been brilliant around the squad in his lay off.

“We are now back to full strength so go into the game hoping our spirit and quality will bring us the points.”
