CAERSWS welcome Tywyn Bryncrug on Saturday with the Bluebirds desperate to kick-start their season.

Assistant manager Gareth Jones insisted his side would need to learn their lessons following a slump in form.

“Regardless of injuries, suspensions and luck we’re in a rut,” said Jones.

“The best thing about football is that there is always another game and we have a chance to make it right.

“It has been a steep learning curve for this young side and we need to be clinical and ruthless offensively and defensively to get a positive result which has not been the case this season.”

Meanwhile Kerry are the latest side bidding to derail the Llanidloes Town title train with the sides meeting at Dolforgan Park.

Lambs manager Alex Cookson said: “We are looking to bounce back after a frustrating result last week but we know we are playing against the toughest team in the league and everyone is going to have to be at their best.

“We are looking forward to pitting our wits against quality players.”

Llanidloes Town spokesman Rob Hughes insisted the Daffodils were ready for battle.

“we must bring our ‘A game’ to this match and the lads are well aware Dolforgan Park is a tough place to go and Kerry always put up a hard fight.

“However if we play with a similar effort and flair to last Saturday then hopefully we stand a good chance to get points on the board.”.

Montgomery Town travel to Bow Street with manager Luke Williams backing his side to win.

“It will be a tough test having played them in the cup already this season but we will be aiming for three points,” said Williams.

Builth Wells host bottom of the table Llansantffraid with manager Dylan McPhee welcoming back Lee James but remains shorn of goalkeeper Stuart Turpin and Jack Hammond.

McPhee said: “It was a very good performance against Carno last week and we need to build on that but won’t take anything for granted.”

Meanwhile Carno manager Gary Jones hopes to strengthen ahead of the weekend visit of Radnor Valley.

Four Crosses have also strengthened ahead of the visit of Berriew with former Allscott Heath player John Hitchin set for his debut.

However Kyle Wilson is suspended and Ben Simms is unavailable.

Manager Michael Barton said: “Another tough test for my young side as Berriew have been in great form.”

Meanwhile Berriew bid to return to winning ways after defeat to Bow Street last week.

Manager David Jones said: “The second half wasn’t good enough and came as a surprise as we had been playing well.

“We need to get back to how we can play and Crosses will be a tough test.”
